WILTS AND BERKS CANAL.
TO CONTRACTORS.
The Directors of the above Canal are prepared to receive the following TENDERS, viz. :-
TENDER NO. 1. – For DREDGING and CLEANSING out the summit level of the Canal from Chaddington Lock, near Wootton Bassett, through the town of New Swindon, to South Marston Lock, in the parish of Highworth.
TENDER NO. 2. - For ERECTING NEW LIFTING BRIDGES and REPAIRING EXISTING BRIDGES and WHARF WALLS, and for other matters, throughout the said summit level.
Plans, sections and specifications may be seen, and all particulars obtained at the offices of the engineers, Messrs. P. Munro and Son, St. Stephen's Chambers, Baldwin Street, Bristol, from June 2nd to June 5th, 1891 (both days inclusive).
Sealed tenders to be forwarded to me at the Canal Offices, Swindon, not later than 12 noon on June 13th, 1891.
The directors do not bind themselves to accept the lowest or any tender, nor to pay any expenses attending the same.
