Introduction from the Trust's new CEO
I am delighted to have been appointed as the CEO of the Wilts and Berks Canal Trust, and thought you might like to know a little about me. I served for 37 years as an Army officer, commissioned into the Royal Tank Regiment in 1977 and retiring in 2012. On leaving the Army I wanted to work in the charity/NFP sector and was the CEO of St Peter’s Hospice in Bristol from 2012-2019, where I worked closely with many of our 2000 volunteers. WBCT has now persuaded me to come out of retirement and I am very much looking forward to working with all of you in pursuit of the Trust’s fantastic ambitions.
I live near Glastonbury in Somerset and outside work I am a sitting JP, very keen cyclist, fly fisherman, gardener, dog walker, bread maker and wine drinker.
