Widening of slipway at Pewsham

Recent work at Pewsham has seen us widening the towpath and slipway to make it easier to launch our boat The Mary Archard. Unfortunately there is a large oak tree in the centre of the towpath which makes manoeuvring a vehicle and trailer very difficult. We try our best to preserve trees wherever possible hence the widening of the towpath, which of course means a narrowing of the canal. Our local swans were the first to inspect our work and seemed to approve!!
