Welcoming Dr Joe Williams

Dr Joe Williams, a senior lecturer in environmental geography at Oxford Brookes university, has joined the Trust as its lead expert on environmental matters. Canal restoration requires taking great care, as a minimum, to preserve local biodiversity. The Wilts and Berks is going further, enhancing local flora and fauna and delivering Net Biodiversity Gains (NBG). Joe’s great experience and academic background will bring new capabilities to the Trust as we work to restore the canal as a 112km waterside public park.
