Latton basinThe dedicated heritage restoration group at Latton Basin, near Cricklade, has begun a new collaboration with the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust at the northern end of the former North Wilts Canal. The two charities have signed a memorandum of understanding under which they will freely share information between their organisations on plans and work in progress on their restoration and community engagement projects. The interests of the two teams are mutually supportive. Both are looking forward to renewing old acquaintanceships, going back many years, as they push towards the eventual goal of a fully functional waterway, linking the Kennet and Avon at Semington, via Swindon to the Thames at Cricklade.
