YouTube Latest – New Carpenter’s Workshop

Andrew Vidler and Dave Maloney of Melksham, Calne & Chippenham (MCC) branch released a YouTube video earlier in September on the carpenter’s workshop going up by Pewsham Locks.

In the video, Andrew and Dave show viewers the progress being made.  Although the workshop is new, the interior won’t appear that way when it’s finished.  Dave explained the group’s plans: “Although you can make out lots of modern construction methods in the workshop, when the internal fit-out is finished, it will look like a carpenter’s workshop from the mid-1860s".

Dave continued: “It will look wonderful when it’s finished, so make sure you pop down and see us towards the back-end of next year”.

Next, viewers take a look at the work taking place at the top lock bridge at Pewsham Locks.  Roger and his team have been constructing the bridge for a couple of months.  Finally, cameras turn to the Naish Hill section, where the group has been working for the last few weeks.  Ray Canter gives an update on the removal of some willow trees.
